Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the AURA iOS app (“AURA”), published by Reveng-System, handles information. Last updated: August 12, 2026.

Summary

• AURA does not require an account and does not sell your data.
• Clock profiles, regulation sessions, readings, notes, and photos are stored on your device.
• If you use optional AI features, dial or clock images are sent to OpenAI using your API key.
• AURA does not use advertising networks or third-party analytics in the current release.

Information you provide in the app

Depending on how you use AURA, the app may store:

• Clock profile details (for example model, calibre, serial number, names, and notes)
• Regulation session data (names, colors, amplitude, reminders, notes)
• Reading datapoints (dial time, reference time, rate-related values, flags)
• Photos you take or choose (dial, clock, regulator, catalog-style images)
• Preferences such as chart units and display options
• An OpenAI API key you enter in Settings (stored in the device Keychain)

This information is used to provide app functionality—tracking Atmos regulation—not for advertising.

Camera and Photos

AURA requests camera and photo library access so you can photograph or select images of your Atmos clock. Images remain on your device unless you use an optional cloud AI feature described below, or you export data yourself.

On-device storage and export

Primary app data is stored locally using SwiftData. There is no AURA cloud account. When you export, AURA can write a copy to Files or to your iCloud Drive AURA folder (container iCloud.com.reveng-system.aura) under your Apple ID. That export is user-initiated and controlled by you and Apple’s iCloud systems.

Optional OpenAI processing

If you enable AI-assisted dial reading or studio-style photo cleanup, AURA sends the relevant image(s) and related prompts to OpenAI using the API key you supply. Your key is stored on device (Keychain) and used only to authenticate those requests. OpenAI processes that content under its own terms and privacy policy. You can avoid this processing by entering dial times manually and skipping AI photo tools.

Notifications

If you enable regulation reading reminders, AURA may use local notifications on your device. Reminder scheduling stays on device; AURA does not operate a push notification account for you.

What we do not do

• No advertising identifiers for ads
• No third-party analytics SDKs in the current release
• No sale of personal information
• No AURA login or AURA-operated user profile database

Children

AURA is a utility for clock regulation and is not directed at children. Do not use the app to submit personal information of children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of AURA after an update means you accept the revised policy.
